This post just prompted me to listen to this song. The guitar solo was shit. I was simple, slow-ass “up and down the scale” bullshit. It wasn’t even catchy like some of The Offspring’s prior hits were (The Kids Aren’t Alright used the same fucking thing, but at least it was harmonized with the rhythm to the point where it was pleasing to listen to). I know I’m a musician with an understanding of music theory, but seriously, can nobody else see this bullshit for what it is? I am fucking upset with how disappointing this was. Can no one see this? Can no one see that they weren’t even trying? Someone show me something real.
